FAQ

Can my solar system be repaired if the installer went out of business?

Yes. The equipment is almost always fine — it simply lost its support. As a licensed Florida solar contractor, we take over orphaned systems, restore monitoring, and carry out any needed repairs.

What happens to my solar warranty if the installer closes?

The manufacturer (equipment) warranty usually remains valid; it is the installer's workmanship warranty that ends. We can manage manufacturer claims on your behalf and provide our own workmanship warranty on the repairs we make.

Who repairs orphaned or abandoned solar systems in Florida?

A licensed solar contractor. Solar Repair Services specialises in taking over abandoned systems across Central and Southwest Florida — Tampa Bay, Sarasota–Bradenton, Orlando, Fort Myers, and Naples.

Why has my solar production dropped?

Common causes are inverter or optimizer faults, failed microinverters, wiring issues, soiling, or monitoring that has gone offline. A diagnostic assessment pinpoints the cause and what it will take to restore output.

Do you service SolarEdge, Enphase, Tesla, SMA, and FoxESS?

Yes. We service all major inverter, optimizer, and storage platforms, including SolarEdge, Enphase, SMA, FoxESS, Tesla Powerwall, and Franklin — regardless of who installed the system.

How much does it cost to repair or maintain a solar system?

A diagnostic visit ranges from $280 to $350 depending on your plan. Maintenance plans start at $11.95/mo (Standard) and $19.95/mo (Premier). Your assessment confirms any repair costs upfront.

Can you reactivate my solar monitoring?

In most cases, yes — including systems abandoned by a former installer. We re-establish monitoring so faults and performance drops are caught early.

Do I need a solar inspection when buying or selling a home?

It is strongly advisable. A system inspection and production verification protect both buyer and seller, and we handle warranty transfer so the system carries over cleanly.
